A participatory performance on expressions of ground
One man emerged from the stories, which got the idea of using uniform seed germination as a marker to return back. After a long time he returned back to his home through the so called cruel diversity of nature by the path of his own grown green road. I grow green and I roam around as well. I roam around and I roam around. No way to return back. Places disappear from the ground, and I roam around. Just roam around and can find the same place again and again without knowing why coming to same place again. Roam a bit more and will find the reason of coming back. I found one. One body, one ground, sometimes both come together. All the walks you are able to manage are on one ground, the earth, the one walk-able ground. On that ground there are many holes. They can be roads, trees, pillars, water and many others that directly connect the ground to one. One to many.
Melting Garden Of Remembrance
Duration: 1 hour
Candles, which are placed on the ground in the form of words talking about various aspects of melting freedom of expression and our basic rights. In remembrance of activist figures such as Govind Pansare who agitated for community rights, Narendra Dabholkar and Malleshappa Kalburghi who spoke out against idol worship and black magic. At this time when the Dakshinayan conference is currently taking place in Goa, Melting Garden of Remembrance summons these figures and others. This is a participatory performance where the audience is invited to take a candle and go for a trip into the grave of texts to read, write, sleep or leave. The words I’ve written with melting candles, also talk about how contemporary protests ignite and vanish in no time, which loses the spirit of sustainable change...
Touch is a spark which carries energy
Duration: 2 hours
Nature touch changes many things in human body. Human touch changes many things in ground. Everything in the universe is made up of energy and clashes, including our bodies, memories, emotions, intellect. Based on the principle of earthing in alternative medicine, also known as grounding, "Touch is a spark which carries energy" uses a rigged up electrical multimeter attached to the artist's body to demonstrate fluctuations of electrical current running through the body as influenced by physical environment or particulars. Barefoot and with transmission strips running around her, the multimeter strapped to her chest, she moves through the house and garden emitting a sonic transmission to connect or detach through the electric waves.
