A Pérola Negra : Line Drawing
Duration: 2 hrs
In a largely improvised performance Nikhil, in the persona of The Black Pearl, made charcoal drawings on the walls of Giv Lowe Gallery. The Black Pearl as a persona explores the spaces that lie between race and gender. The many aspects of charcoal were explored. It is wood, ash, carbon, black, soft, fragile, impermanent and transformative. Nikhil’s artistic practice sits between live performance, drawing, theater and film.
